Few weeks ago, Google announced the public launch of their URL shortener Goo.gl ,
it can also be used to create QR codes that can be read by mobile phones and automatically redirect the phone browser to desired site or you can say that it is convenient for the reader to just used the camera mobile and visit the desired link .
Softwares like ScanLife are used to read these codes.
With the announcement Google had claimed that it is the fastest URL shortener on the market right now, ever faster than Bit.ly,
To create a QR code with Goo.gl, just shorten the URL and add ".qr" to the end of it. For example http://goo.gl/InvA is the shortened URL for http://www.techravi.com, adding .qr to the URL (http://goo.gl/ZOHJ.qr) will display the QR code which you can then download and add to your webpage or application.
you can shorten any type of link you want.. just give it a try ;)
