Google's homepage doodle today pays homage to graphic designer Saul Bass, he was an American graphic designer and Oscar winning filmmaker, best known for his design of motion picture title sequences, film posters, and corporate logos, who is known for creating iconic film titles for movies from top directors like Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick.
Matthew Cruickshank, a Google designer, crafted today's doodle. In a blog post, he said he has "always been interested in the work of Saul Bass, and was delighted to get the opportunity to celebrate his birthday on the Google homepage."
